Does Brandeis University require the ACT optional writing or the SAT optional essay?
Here is the link to where the Brandeis admissions section of their website discusses their test optional policy:
http://www.brandeis.edu/admissions/apply/testing.html
The information you seek is contained in this link.
A tip for you for the future: I found this info very quickly by typing into the search engine, “Brandeis application requirements.” One also might just go to the college’s website and look in the admissions section.
@TheGreyKing Yes, I have already read this over, but it did not specify whether it was required. On prepscholar, it was written as required but it does not specifically say not the optional writing ACT was not required or recommended.
It says this in #1 on the page linked above, which can’t be more clear regarding SAT writing.
“Option 1: Submit SAT or ACT. Please note, we will accept results from either the new SAT or those taken prior to March 2016. The writing portion of the new SAT is not required.”
It does not address ACT with writing. Reach out to your regional AO if you need to know that.
