Last summer I was an IT intern at Praxis Housing Initiatives in NYC. Its a non-profit that helps find housing for homeless people with HIV/AIDs.

Also, my parents are first generation immigrants from Argentina, I am hispanic and the language spoken at home is Spanish. Neither of my parents have gone to college and I come from a very low-income family.

My essay was about a life altering event in which my father was diagnosed with stomach cancer and how I turned it into an inspiration

My secondary essay is about my identity, being both Jewish and Hispanic.

What should I consider tufts? middle? middle/safe? also whats the likelihood I get in?

thanks for the help!!

My guess is that Tufts is realistic for you, with or without brother, likely match but not a safety-- no special inside knowledge here from me.

You definitely have the diversity angle working for you, and your essays have good themes. Your EC's are also impressive, and your grades seem to be good. Your SAT verbal is a little low, but your total score is probably around the average for Tufts. It seems like a good target school for you, but it's probably not a safety. Good luck.
