The 2015 Notification thread said there were three different times for notification via email, 5, 6, and 7 pm. Does this assignment mean something?

The assignment does not coincide with a certain decision. The university does this to ensure that the server does not crash when everyone is trying to check his/her decision. Don’t worry!

no.
10 char

These times definitely correlate with specific admission decisions. 5pm is rejected, 6 pm is waitlisted, 7 pm is deferred to class of 2016, and 8 pm is accepted.

Apparently, no one’s been accepted this year…

No

no…

^^hahaha…

“Does it matter?” LOL: think of it.

Can you imagine text saying: “All the accepts will be notified at 5PM, the waitlisters at 6PM and the rejects at 7PM. You should log in at ___”

Boiled down, this would be exceedingly stupid, no?

People are getting OVER-sensitive now.

Someone on the Harvard forum said usually the acceptance letters go out earlier. It makes sense. Another wrote:

Is this for real as to significance of the log-on time?

No–it’s been stated other forums that students who got likely letters got a variety of times.

Personally I think the times are connected to region. It seems to me that most people will be getting their Brown decision at 5:00 their home time (all the times were given in EST).
No idea for internationals…

You guys are seriously obsessing over minutiae now. You might as well get the Ouija board out.

C’mon. Just chill – it’ll be over soon.
