Finally, BU requires Math II, Chem, and Foreign Language SAT subject tests for their accelerated programs- But can I send more if I like my Biology score better (and will they look at it)? Is transferring to an accelerated program impossible after matriculating into the College of Arts & Sciences?

EDIT: Sorry, one more thing- are interviews required for non-accelerated program applicants?

I'm assuming 3.7 is unweighted. Also, keep in mind that a lot of people who apply to the ivies list BU as their backup. which makes the admitted pool more competitive than the enrolled pool. my point is that their average admitted gpa might be 3.7 but that is not necessarily their standards. so I wouldn't worry about it.

I don't know anything about the accelerated programs. all I know is that for the honors program, they don't have set standards--the top 15% of their applicants are admitted into the hp.

and I didn't do an interview, nor did anyone else I know who got in.

well my high school gpa system was out of 100 so i dont know how it works in high school, but at all colleges a 3.7 is an a- (4.0=a, 3.7=a-, 3.3=b+, etc.)

Thank you to all of the above! I'm far away from BU, and I hadn't even heard of it until I started my college search, but it looks (at least, over the internet) like a school I might be interested in.

An A- is a 3.7 at BU. I can show you transcripts.

Most schools do some recalculation but it varies. They might cut out non-core Academic classes like drawing or orchestra - unless that's your school. They might add points for AP or honors.

It appears from experience that BU looks at unweighted and at all grades for eligibility for things like scholarships but I might be wrong.
