Does Cal have a foreign language requirement?

For the first two years of undergrad, do you have to take a foreign language?
*My prospective major is Biology

I'm not that certain about it but you might have to do something of the sort:

<a href="http://ls.berkeley.edu/?q=undergraduate/degree-requirements-policies%5B/url%5D">http://ls.berkeley.edu/?q=undergraduate/degree-requirements-policies</a></p>

But in the ES handbook, I read that most students fulfill the foreign language requirement by having taken three years of a high school foreign language with a grade of C- or better.

I don't know if that also applies to Bio majors.

yes, if you took three years of the same language in high school, then you've already satisfied your language requirement. otherwise, i believe you have to take two semesters of a language.
