Does Cal Poly rescind often?

So I slacked senior year. Out of all my year, senior year was the hardest first semester. I jumped into 4 APs thinking I could breeze through it… I could not :</p>

I’m going to be a Busniness Admin major at SLO, so I don’t think my classes would effect a lot… but the grades are bad.

I got into SLO with a 3.7 reported GPA, but my first semester grades, I got Cs in most of my AP classes shifting my GPA downward to a mere 3.4, is there a high chance of them rescinding my admission?

I’ve been working harder and plan to end my second semester with higher grades so that my GPA is higher than a 3.5, but they can’t see that when I send my partial transcript. They’ll only see that I had dropped in grades…

If it matters my AP classes include:

 • AP LitC
 • AP BioC
 • AP GovC
 • AP StatsB

I’m trying my hardest to end my senior year with only Bs and As and passing all of my AP tests, but will SLO rescind my admission before I get to send them a final transcript and my AP scores?

I talked to someone within the Admissions board, and though his message was a bit confusing, he did say that they look at your overall gpa (from 9-11th) and if your OVERALL gpa goes down by 0.5 (so in your case, if you go below a 3.2) then you will probably get rescinded.
He also said they look at each grade individually, so a B in an AP is still a B…but the gpa is weighted. That part didn’t make much sense to me but your C’s should be calculated as a B for the overall gpa.
