<p>Does caltech only use whats from their supplement in making admissions decisions, or will they look at the essays and resume from the common app as well?</p>
<p>I assume that since they want us to submit both, Caltech ppl will look at the essays from all parts.</p>
<p>We look at the entire common app... so certainly fill out all the parts, including the required common app essay.</p>
<p>Bottom line? More essays than under Caltech's previous system. Of course, if you are applying other places that accept the common application without a supplement, you'll be able to use some of those essays elsewhere.</p>
