Hello, I'm a highschool sophomore and am taking the most advanced physics course at my school, which is honors physics. My school doesn't offer AP physics, which I'm sure most other applicants will have taken, so how much will this effect my chances of getting in? Also, I'm taking the the hardest allowable math sequence at my school ( Alg 2 -> precalc -> calc BC -> calc 2) but I see other people doing much more advanced math. Will this also affect my chances of getting in?

As long as you’re taking the most challenging courses you can handle and complete their requirements, you should be fine. However, if you can, talk to your GC about enrolling in more advanced classes offered at a nearby college/university.
