Does Carleton allow Students to take ACT instead of SAT Subject tests

Hi
I am high school senior who is thinking of applying to Swarthmore college. I only took one SAT Subject test in American History(which I had a 760) but I am afraid I might not be able to take another subject since private colleges usually require a mininmum of 2. Can I take the ACT as a replacement for the SAT Subject test?

Mmmm, if you have a question about Swarthmore you should probably ask it on that forum. As for Carleton, according to the admissions page on the Carleton website, the SAT or ACT (both with Writing) is required - SAT Subject tests are optional.

Many LACs do not require SAT subject tests if you only submit the ACT. Read their admission requirements carefully.
