Does Carleton send acknowledgement that they've received the waitlist reply?

I sent one to them last week accepting a spot by e-mail. Should I expect a reply?

Yes, you should receive a letter soon.

My daughter e-mailed them the day after being waitlisted and never received a reply. Should she contact them again?

Ditto for my son. My guess is Carleton does not automatically reply to requests to stay on the waitlist–not sure why “breakfast” told “Impero” to expect a letter soon.

My roommate works in the admissions office, so I asked her - she has definitely mailed letters acknowledging a wait list reply. I asked her again and she said possibly they only go out to people who send physical letters rather than emails, but she has no idea why it would be that way. So, unsure why your kids didn’t get letters, but she says they definitely go out.

I e-mailed, but I would like to know that my letter has been received. It’s no use sending the acknowledgement by mail. I got a letter from Wesleyan meant for my parents dated April 1st. I got them yesterday. Mail always has a 2 week-1 month lag where I am. Should I just send a request for an acknowledgement?

I was mistaken in my earlier post. My son said he did receive a letter from Carleton confirming receipt of his request to remain on the waitlist.

That sounds unfair for int’l students. The fastest way for us to reply is by email, yet, we are urged to mail our request to remain on the waitlist in order to receive the acknowledgement.
:(

^Fatchoco, it would be a good idea to email them and let them know that you have sent in your acceptance of the waitlist paper.

Yeah. I e-mailed them. They sent an electronic acknowledgement.
