I applied to the university of Minnesota Twin Cities on October 16th and haven’t heard back yet.
I applied to CBS as #1 and CLA as #2. If I am qualified for CLA but they aren’t sure about CBS, do they wait to see who else applies to CBS to see how my stats compare? Or would they not wait and accept me right away to CLA?

ACT: 26
Due to the ACT score CBS is probably a reach for you. But CLA seems like a match. They may be waiting to see where you fit. I wouldn’t rule out either college but CLA is more likely. For the most part, the “accepted” decisions so far have been obvious ones (there are always a few that are not obvious but we can’t forget those secondary factors or something like Legacy/Div. I sports, etc.). I don’t think anyone has been accepted yet to a college that wasn’t their first choice. The Priority Deadline is Mid-Dec. so they are still receiving applications at this point. They can make more definitive decisions once that deadline has passed.
My D2 is kind of in the same boat but w/r/t CLA as her first choice. SAT 1960 and GPA (uw) 3.64. I think we’ll be able to send her mid-year transcript before any decision is made!!!
