Does changing your first choice school look bad?

<p>I am a National Merit Finalist, and I initially designated Yale as my first choice. Yale is still where I would like to attend, but I would like to change it with NMS so I have a fallback. Would it look bad to Yale if I changed it?</p>

<p>I doubt Yale would even be told. Call NMCorp and ask… 847-866-5100 </p>

<p>Even if they were told, I doubt it would make a difference since the Ivies must know that students often put safeties as #1 choice because of scholarships.</p>

<p>NMSC doesn’t send out the first batch of notifications to colleges until 3/1, so you have some time to change it without them knowing, if you want to. Honestly though, I don’t think that would be a big deal.</p>
