I really hope they do...

I was wondering and hoping the same thing. In “Where am I in the Process?” I don’t see it anywhere. My counselor said she sent the 1st quarter grades about a week ago, but I am not sure about this either.

anyone know?

Someone’s gotta know…

Reality-- if your ap was so awful to have been dinged already- this isn’t going to matter. Meaning, you had a 3.1 – don’t even think this will matter unless there were extenuating circumstances for the 3.1 (illness, death etc.) in which case, your GC should send off an addendum to Admissions about your spectacular grades first semester!

If you walked on water and were already accepted in the system, this isn’t going to matter.

For those on the fence-- yep, it matters. Define “fence” 3.4 to 3.6 roughly.
This holding all else out of the equation - such as minority, women or full pay international. Clearly some get in lower than 3.4 for many schools for a variety of reasons. Taking a ton of STEM APs and have a 4.0 this semester-- have your GC point it out in another note to admissions!

They have 20,000+ applications to read- -clearly they aren’t all read in January to March-- some are already read and the deal locked. That’s true in every institution.

Make sure your school actually sends off the midsemester grades in a timely matter.

I think we had a few earlier threads on this the past few years. Lots of anecdotes of people who didn’t send them or even send their final grades!
