<p>Last year I think they sent likely letters to kids who applied to the smaller schools that required interviews/auditions. Other than that, I don't think they did for engineering or anything. </p>

<p>For the second question, they sent acceptance letters first and then rejections were received three days later. You might find that Carnegie says that the decisions are sent out randomly; no, last year they did not do that so they could do it again.</p>
