if you have yet to take a SAT test but have already taken a previous test, does collegeboard withhold sending the previous test scores untill your future SAT result comes in?

EG you took the may SAT and signed up for the november to retake.

You select a college to send both scores to.

Does CB first send the may scores, wait untill you take the november test and then send a second scores report?

I am applying for early action in a college and signed up for the october subjetc tests first time and the november SAT retake. The college STRONGLY recomends all scores to be in by november 1 and it also requires mandoatory SAT subject tests. I have already take the SAT twice in may this year and december last year.

If CB sends the scores seperately, then my subject test scores will be in on time (hence my application will be complete) while my SAT retake will be slightly later. If CB sends them together, then both my scores will be on the later date and hence my application will be incomplete on november 1.

CB sends them as you take them (if you have requested the scores to be sent) because even if you’re registered for a test, they have no way of being sure if you’ll take it. You could break a leg, or have to take your mom somewhere, or simply sleep in on the day of the test.

kay, so to clarify a bit more, do you mean that CB will send all the scores from the tests you have taken, and then send another report after you finish your future test?

You take the test in May and select schools to send the test to (without using Score Choice or anything fancy haha). When your result are available, they are mailed to colleges. This report shows every SAT you have ever taken, including SAT IIs, so assuming May is the first time you take it, it’ll only show your May test. Sine you took some tests before, it’ll show that, too.

Time passes.

You take the test in November and select the same schools to send the test to (without using Score Choice again). When your result are available, they are mailed to the same colleges again. This report shows every SAT you have ever taken, including SAT IIs, so this new report will show your May AND November tests. Plus, it’ll show any tests you took before.

I sign up for both the october and the november tests. I now have 8 score reports. I decide now to send both scores blind (before taking the test) in addition to my previous may score. Does college board decide to mail the score report in November?

OR does it decide to mail a score report in october including all my previous tests and then mail another one in november?

Whenever you request the score report is when it will be sent, and the tests that appear under it will only be those for which scores have been released.

If I pay for an extra score report the week before June results come out, for example, the next day my chosen colleges will get a score report without the June test on it because it has not been released yet. It won’t send a report with my previous scores first, and then next week mail out another one, if I have not requested a new score report.

Look at my previous post. This is getting really repetitive. You get FOUR REPORTS PER TEST. Whenever scores are available for that test, they will be sent IMMEDIATELY to those four schools, as well as any previous scores.

Same thing happens all the time, for whatever test.

It’s not “allowing” you to send any future scores because they’re not there yet. It’s allowing you to file which schools you want to ge tthe report. They’ll get the report whenever the scores are available.

You don’t get 8 reports. You get 4 per test. If you want 8 colleges to recieve scores for both test dates, you’ll have to SEPARATELY purchase extra score reports. Unless you’re talking about how you’re already purchasing extra score reports, in which case…they’ll send whatever is available when you request that.

You take the October test. Whatever schools you selected FOR THE OCTOBER TEST will get your October test scores and ANY previous scores, when the October scores are available.

Time passes.

You take the November test. Whatever schools you selected FOR THE NOVEMBER TEST will get your November test scores and ANY previous scores, when the November scores are available.

So, those schools getting the November report are getting BOTH SCORES (Oct and Nov) when the November scores are available. Those schools getting the October report are getting ONLY the October scores when the October scores are available.
