Does Columbia Consider AP Scores in Admission?

Do they, and to what extent? I've heard that with many top colleges, they'll be impressesd by a bunch of 5's, but won't base a lot on them. I've also heard they use them to measure grade inflation (someone with straight A's, but 2's and 3's on the AP= SCHOOL IS EASY)

I don't really think so...schools heavily rely on SATs as far as admissions goes...AP is used for credit/placement. Besides, pretty much everyone can sign up for SATs, while not all schools offer a ton of APs.

there is no logical reason to put less value on an AP history test than the SAT of that subject. I see AP's as having a fair amount of impact on the total application in a similar way to the 3rd (and beyond) SAT II.
