Does Columbia have a Consulting Student club/ association?

It's an extra-curricular I would really like to get involved with.

Some colleges have pretty extensive ones, working with local businesses and start-ups. I haven't been able to find any information on this however.

not to my knowledge.

That’s really unfortunate. With the location and ivy status it seems like it would be a great opportunity. :(

then maybe you should start one if you can

Yeah that’s what I was thinking of. But I have no idea how to go about forming and running an association at the college-level. Seems that for something like that, that involves outside businesses, it would require a LOT of energy and time.

I don’t want to overextend myself.

the columbia econ society serves as an umbrella organization for kids interested in finance and consulting. they host a series of workshops and presentations given by people from major investment banks and consulting shops (goldman and mckinsey come to mind). i have a friend who largely takes care of coordinating their consulting events; people on this forum know him as pearfire. pm him if you want more in-depth information.
