Does Columbia have placement tests?

I think the title does it for itself.

But just to elaborate I will say I have searched the website for an answer. I couldn't find anything. All I know is that they exist for the language requirement and honors courses/skipping courses.

However, as an entering freshman, will I have to take placement tests during orientation or something aside from he language test?

I hope I made sense. Ha!

Yes. During NSOP, you will write placement exams to determine the level at which you start. If you’re in SEAS, you will need to take some science ones. I took Chemistry and Physics placement exams last year. They’re a joke. The Physics one is just some easy integrals. However, the actual Accelerated Physics sequence is quite difficult.
