Does Cornell allow CALS-CAS transfers?

And are they a rare occurrence?

I'm split between applying to AEM at CALS and majoring in Econ at CAS.

I’ve heard that transferring into AEM is the hardest internal transfer at the school.

That being said, you’re definitely allowed to try to transfer from one to the other.

I see. Would transferring into CAS be an easier task?

Apply to both… Put AEM as your first choice, and CAS as your second, or vice versa.

Well I looked into a AEM transfer (not CAS), so I don’t want to give you the false impression I’m an expert on the situation.

That being said, if the transfer into AEM is the hardest internal in the school, than logic would dictate that anything else would be easier haha.

And if you’re in AEM and don’t like it, I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to transfer into A&S.

But if transferring into CAS is nearly as difficult then it puts me into an even greater dilemma…
