does cornell have interviews?

does anybody know that if you apply to cornell, whether there's an interview and if so, is it required or recommended? also, how difficult is the supplement to the common app? thanks.

I applied, and got an email from someone fairly late in the process (Feb or so), saying if I want to, I can meet with him and ask any questions, find out more information, but it was strictly informational for me...that it has nothing to do with the admissions process.

Well, being the procrastinator I am, I didn't get back to him for another two weeks or so, at which point he told me that it was too late, and he would just tell the school that I was interested in meeting but it didn't work out.

Well, turns out they accepted me, but I would suggest to everyone to take this interview.

Yes but they're only given where available and they cannot adversely affect your chances. This is all unless you're applying to the Hotel School which conducts evaluative interviews.

interview is required for all architecture applicants unless you attended the cornell summer program

There is no interview for engineering either...

An alumnus called me for an informational meeting. I went over to his house in a stained T-shirt and ragged jeans, ate some popcorn, talked about Cornell, blah blah blah.

He told me that the meetig would not affect admissions in any way except for the fact that if I wanted to report anythign to the adcoms that I didn't do in my app, I could do it through him.

Oh, and the alumnus did a VERY good job of getting me hooked onto Cornell =D
