Does Cornell require Q1 grades for ED?

Did anyone send their Q1 grades? Does anyone plan on sending them in?

I just emailed the admissions office about this and they responded:
“First quarter grades are not required unless we ask for them. That being said, many counselors will automatically send them to us when the first quarter ends.”

So I take it that means they are not necessarily required for all applicants, but they will reach out to you if they want them.

@seinypra thank you!! What school in Cornell did u apply to?

CALS for Development Sociology :slight_smile:

I got a B in my Q1 grade except for other 4 As, should I send the Q1?

What’s ur major? What class did you get a B in? If you are applying for engineering and got a B in physics I wouldn’t. If you are applying for Political science and got a B in calculus you would be fine .

I applied CS and got a B in AP French

@peaceandface I would say u r just fine

thanks, pray for all of us.

Your Q1 grades will be the last grades they see before they make their decision. If you had a very good Q1 then I would encourage you to send them in. My kid’s school automatically sent them to ED schools.
