I am thinking about applying early to cornell, and i did the summer program; my SAT scores are in the 2200s, i am taking a demanding senior year course load, and have great ECs..I was wondering if i should apply ed to cornell bc of the success i had at the summer program...
advice?

Are you talking about their Nano Bio Technology internship? If so, it’s highly competitive and Cornell pays for all participants to attend, so it could help with admissions. However, if you’re talking about one of the run-of-the-mill, expensive, non-selective summer HS programs, then no, it in itself is not going to be a substantial help for admissions.

Whether or not you should apply is another question and belongs on the Chances forum.

Most of the kids at our school that went to their non selective summer programs did not end up getting in.

yeah the only reason i thought it could possibly help was bc the classes that they offered were legitimate undergraduate courses (as we sat alongside undergrad students) in that it was a 15 week semester course condensed into 6 weeks…
