Does "D" in spanish count towards UC credit?

Hi,

Last year (soph), I didn't have such great grades and ended up getting a D+ in second semester spanish 2. For the UC's, two years of spanish is required. Does the D+ count towards these two years or will I have to retake the class?

Thanks.

On the upside, I'm puting out this year and have a 4.0GPA. A major improvement from last years 3.0....

It’s doubtful that a D+ counts. But only your school GC can tell you for sure. So ask.

You will be applying for entry into 2012 freshman class for which all new rules apply. One of those is that no grade lower than a C is accepted to meet a required a-g course count, see [University of California - Applying for fall 2012?](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/freshman/applying-fall-2012/index.html). Since two years of language are required, you need to retake.
