Does Dartmouth frown on the January SAT?

Hi everyone, so I am planning on retaking the SAT in January because my highest SAT score is only 2090 and my highest ACT score is only 32. I could take it in December but I feel like I could have a much higher score in January (i.e. around 2300 vs. around 2200). Dartmouth says they accept the January test, but the test is well after the deadline, so I am wondering if me taking the January SAT could raise a red-flag and/or delay the reading of my application even if I score well. BTW, the January SAT would be my second SAT and I have taken the ACT 3 times.

Thank!

Your ACT score of 32 should be fine, it’s the equivalent of about a 2140. I’m thinking the same thing though. I have an SAT of 2120 and an ACT of 29 (which doesn’t help me) and I’ll be taking subject tests in December and I’m wondering if it’d be worth taking the SAT in january. It’ll be my fourth time taking it, so I don’t know if that makes me look bad.

yeah! i was thinking of doing that too. retake my SAT I in December and retake my SAT II’s in January. Coz I decided last minute that I was going to apply to the states so could only take the SATs since October. so we should probably take the January test right? But isnt it at the end of Jan therefore we’d get the results around the middle of feb - would that be too late?
