Deffered with 31 ACT, 3.65. awesome EC's/essays/recs...OOS...does this basically mean rejected without the harsh title

is your gpa weighted or UW?

I’m wondering the same thing :/

No, because you get send to the RD pool and you still have a chance of getting in

Unweighted GPA,

damn man, that sucks. how was your course load?

4 AP 6 H, not the best but my school only offers like 12 AP (2 of which are language and 2 you have to be on extremely advanced math track)

thats a lot of honors. our school has like 15+ AP classes but only 2-3 honors classes

Hmmmm hope you proofread your essays…it’s spelled deferred not deffered :-)

It does not mean that. I got in after being deferred.

A deferral definitely does not mean a definite rejection, however, considering UMich rarely gives out rejections and the small percentage of admits after deferrals, you can basically count on a rejection unless you work hard on your 7th semester grades and prove that you deserve to be there.

I was deferred, had a lower GPA my 7th semester than any other semester, and still got accepted. There’s definitely some randomness to the admissions. Infact, they accepted me immediately after they got my 7th semester grades.

^ well aren’t you special…lol.

The point was that there’s hope for him as well, incase he hasn’t done great this semester.

ya I realized I mispelt the thread, spellcheck ftw…I will definitely have 5A’s 1 B+ and depending on my AP Bio final straight A’s…I didn’t think my first rejection (type) would be so crushing but i’m doubting my other schools pretty hard and thinking of adding another safety besides U of A and UWash

Also should I see a “Send 7th Semester Grades” link on WA? The letter told me to but WA hasn’t changed

I had to ask my school to send them, I didn’t mess with anything on the Wolverine Access.

Well ya…So i hear that they do reject EA? I guess that’s good lol

Deferred students should have hope. My OOS D was deferred EA and admitted very quickly after she sent her 7th semester grades along with a nice letter telling them how much she wanted to attend and updates on awards, activities, etc.

well that’s reassuring, definitely gonna get 5 A’s and a B, depending on the AP Bio final Straight A’s!!
