Does ED help NYU chances?

Hey I'm just wondering if anybody got into NYU 2012 on Early Decision. I remember reading through some NYU acceptance thread on this site (can't seem to find it now though), and all the people in there had like crazy GPAs and SAT Scores and Extracurriculars. I saw some people really high SAT scores that got rejected, all Stern rejects though.

I'm currently a Junior and NYU's like my dream. I want to go there so badly that, I dunno, there's no words to describe it. When they send me their Information Booklet, I just couldn't stop smelling it cause it smelled like success. :P Seriously. Lol haha. So yeah I'm just trying to maximize my chances of getting into NYU, because I think I'm pretty much borderline right now.

I haven't taken any SATs yet, looking to take SAT I in May, two SAT IIs in June, and another SAT I in October. I am currently in SAT Prep school though and that's what I got on my most recent practice test. I've been improving, I got 166 on my PSATs. I'm aiming for around 2100, so if I try hard enough I could probably get 700s in Math and Reading for an even 1400. I'm also hoping to raise my GPA to a 94/95. That's just about for safe zone for CAS right? I know there's no way I can get into Stern so that's definitely out of the question, lol. So ED would be the best me right? Since I'm just about like the average CAS student, I'm not super OD genius despite the whole asian thing, lol.

Oh yeah and I'm pretty sure being Asian doesn't help me in the slightest. Unless....does NYU ask for specific ethnicities on their application because I might be able to stand out as one of the few Indonesians lol.

So yeah, I'm gunna try to get on another team next year, tennis, and I'm going to run for Arista (NHS) President, so hopefully that'll give me some more cred.

I could use all the advice I could get. Especially if you got into NYU on ED. :D Please people, don't let me fail at life, lol.
