so...my question to you is....besides the policies and strategies.....does the education of your candidate matter?

Honestly, I don’t think so. George Bush graduated from Yale. I think it’s more of what you have done with your education that determines your credibility. John Edwards (before his scandal) was my pick for the democratic nominee because I felt he really represented the middle class. I also felt he was capable of uniting the country (as he did for the democrats in the debates). His track record was pretty solid too. Where did he graduate from? NC State and UNC (which is still a good school but obviously not at the level of Harvard).

i like that answer…i liked Edwards also - but Bush didn’t get into Yale b/c of his intellect, it was because of his last name

personally I think that besides the candidates stance on issues…their education is important but to a much lesser degree

It matters zero to me. This is the same how I feel about virtually anyone in life. As long as you’ve accomplished something in life, it doesn’t matter what school you graduated from.

And yes, Bush did get in because of his father. He was never a good student.
