Does Emory require Midyear Reports?

what the title basically says :)

Yes, they do.

Even if you were accepted ED they still want em.

My son applied ED 2 last year and the admissions office called the school guidance counselor to get the mid-terms before an ED 2 decision was made. (He was accepted and loves it.)

wait WHAT??? I was accepted ED I and they didnt ask me for it... I just got the forms for the final transcript and that was it.... should I call them??

and how much do they look at the final transcripts? I am afraid that my senioritis will prevent me from going to college if i drop a few points on my cumulative average

i called and asked and they said ed1 needs to send in midyear reports.

dont worry about slacking off. theyll only rescind admission if you like get in major trouble or something. if you do like severely mess up MAYBE youll start off on academic probation. my friend was kicked out of boarding for alcohol problems 2nd semester last yr and he had no problems with his early acceptance to BC. in two of my classes 2nd semester, i dropped from like b+ to a c/c-. no one cared. dont try to do poorly but seriously, dont even think about it. i flipped out every time i got a letter from emory over the summer bc i thought it was my antiacceptance letter, but that doesnt really happen.

I called as well and they said that you CAN send them in, but you don't have to. What they MUST have is the final year report. Which makes complete sense. RD schools need midyears to help decide whether or not to accept a student.

i wish they had told me the same thing. i wasted 2 dollars on that transcript that could have gone into my starbucks fund. dmnit.
