Does essay #5 have to be about you?

Since they ask you to pose a question, are they expecting the essay to be about you?

Any essay you write WILL be about you in a meaningful way. It doesn’t have to use the first-person singular pronoun a lot for that to be true. You could write about the Yankees, and it would still be about you – what you care about, how you express ideas, how you approach problems. And you want it to be about you, because you want them to admit you, not the Yankees (which they wouldn’t anyway).

So write about whatever you want. Just try to make sure that you ARE showing something important about yourself through your writing. NOT by writing “I value logic highly”, but by producing a highly logical argument. NOT by saying “I love babies and puppies”, but by writing passionately and lovingly about them.
