Does ets have the wrong answer listed?

Or am I smoking some crack?

Question 1, the answer should be C... right?

If the answer really is D, what am I missing?

non shaded area shown as 160 degree so the shaded area is only
(360-160-160) = 40 degree
therefore shaded area =
40/360 * pi * 6 * 6 = 4pi (D)
I think u did calculation error?

more explanation:

 • circle is 360 degree total
 • two intersecting lines will result same angle on sides behind it (160 on non shaded area, the other non shaded area is 160 making 320 degree total)
 • Therefore the shaded area angle total is 360-320 = 40 degree
 • total area of circle = pi * R^2 = pi *6 *6 = 36 pi
 • The shaded area = 36 pi * 40 / 360 = 40/10 * pi = 4pi

Ugh. So I was smoking some crack.
I was doing:

2/160 pi6*6

instead of
2/180pi6*6.

Thanks for helping me. I feel dumb.
