I’m going to a state flagship and even though the food has never been top-ranked, I love it. There’s a ton a variety i.e. a Smashed Potato station where they smash up potatoes with veggies and other tasty stuff and and international station where they make different international dishes every week. I think the bigger the school gets, the more variety you’ll have, quality aside.

^ Smashed potatoes sound like the most delicious things in the universe. Can I transfer there?

As much as I like complaining about our food, UA has a pretty good cafeteria. It’s like a mall food court with some restaurants spread over campus that are really good. There’s a vegetarian, Jewish restaurant that I love, as well as some hidden treats at certain places [like our AWESOME breakfast burritos].

Bigger the school bigger the selection.

Mine has the following:

main entree station
salad station
cereal
sandwiches
soup
dessert

thats it. Its decent for the price.

I find that the Claremont Colleges are HEAVEN for those looking for variety and tasty meals. Since there are 6 dining halls to choose from you always have variety, and most times your own college dining hall has at least one strong choice anyway, so you dont even have to venture off to the other colleges, although I often do.

Has anyone mentioned Tufts?
They have surprisingly good food.
I know someone who eats @ the dining halls four times a day.

You will find rankings online of schools that serve delicious food. I believe one winner is Wheaton College (I think the one in MA?), whose head of dining services is a 5-star chef or something, with all the dishes served there being masterpieces.

UCLA’s food is pretty good and since there are several dining halls you get some good variety. Everyyy tour I’ve ever taken, every presentation I’ve ever attended, has always boasted about their food. And I must say it’s actually pretty good. This is coming from a prettyy picky eater.
I’ve also heard UC Davis’ food is pretty good because they grow a lot of agriculture or something.

UCSD has pretty good food most of the time.

I like Michigan State’s food too. I’m not really picky though (it does get old after a while, but it is still good in terms of cafeteria food)

Bowdoin has the best food out of all the schools, according to the Princeton Review. None can compare.

Humboldt State University has great food! Most of its organic/natural.

St. Olaf is supposed to have the best food in the U.S.

Food at Duke is awesome!!

I think if you eat at the same place day after day…eventually you’re gonna hate the food no matter what it is.

No matter how good it is, you WILL hate it, eventually.

From my college’s website:

Brick-oven Pizza, Pasta bar, Grill, Classics Buffet, Mongolian Wok, Rotisserie, Deli, Salad bar, Vegan and Vegetarian options, as well as a large selection of freshly baked goods and desserts.

We also have a Quizno’s and Starbucks.

I’m headed to Virginia Tech, and the food is one of its most well-known features (aside from the academics and football of course).

I assume your in HS and looking into colleges? I reccomend starting an account with the princeton review site. Its free and they provide rankings on damn near everything. Everyone may not agree with the rankings but they are rankings nonetheless. Straight off their site:

And surprise, surprise, the military colleges seem to be a frequent place for bad food.

It’s not that it sucks, but the menu’s tend to be on rotating schedules, and you just kind of get tired of the same food. Luckily there is a decent variety of food and plenty of places to eat.
