like say are there people that want to be teachers or such

what is it with these subject cliffhangers?

no, probably not EVERYONE wants a "top" job. what do you define as top? and why isn't teaching a top job?

top job= lawyer, doctor, business person, etc

normal people jobs= teachers, nurses, accountants, etc

i didnt mean what i said to be taken literally, but most people would get what i am talking about

because i am very interested in cmu but im not exactly planning on working on wall street

I think she meant top as in top paying job (?)

yeah thats definatly a big part of it

Well, it depends on your major. Statistically, CMU has excellent job placement rates, especially for business, engineering and CS. But no, not everyone at CMU is necessarily aspiring towards one of those "top" jobs.

A lot of people come here for high salaries and job opps and they get it. Many people get multiple job offers even if they aren't in the top half of their class.

Trust me: The accountants can make as much or even more than that of your posted "top jobs." In fact, accounting training can be a fabulous entre to many top paying fields.

We have a great accounting program in Tepper. I would not call anything in Tepper a "non-top" major/job/career.

The more popular majors include finance/quant analysis.
