Does everyone do that well here?

<p>Hello. I'm new to posting here but have been reading for several weeks. I'm very impressed with all the great SAT scores that have been posted here but very intimidated as well. On average, in the USA, the average SAT taker made around 1000 (old score.... with a 500 average on each). Here on this board, and other similar boards, I see incredible scores of greater than 600 and 700 being the norm, for each section with total new scores of greater than 2200 and 2300).</p>

<p>Wow, does that mean that these kind of boards attract the highly elite in academics, or do people lie, or do the average SAT scorers not go to these boards? Or all of the above.</p>

<p>Makes someone feel VERY intimidated to view these scores here. Give me your insight?</p>

<p>I think the main reason is that people with 'low' scores do not feel confident enough to post their scores.</p>

<p>people who get low scores are generally not interested in attending a top 50 school, which is why they usually dont come on CC and post their stats</p>
