One of my son's friends haven't received their dorm assigment yet. Is this common? I know the room assignment and roommate(s) will be available the 1st week of August, but I thought everyone would at least know where they are living by now.

I don’t have mine yet. Glad to know there’s someone else still waiting though!

I do not either! My number is like in the middle/late 2000s I think

Nope. Lottery number 3590… Great.

My daughter doesn’t either. I’ve heard that your lottery number determines where you live but they tend to tell you based on when you accepted. I don’t know if that is true or not.

I’ve also heard that if you call they will tell you when to expect to receive your contract.

My U-M Freshman has a # in the 2800’s and still has not heard. Jupiter, do you mean it depends on when you accepted your acceptance to U-Mich? My Freshman was accepted EA but did not accept the acceptance till after Ivy’s replied in April, so maybe that’s it? I see people with #s in the 3000’s who already have their contract, and I don’t get it!

My son was somewhere in the 1400s, but he had 3 roommates picked out. I though they would end up in Oxford or North Campus for sure, but instead ended up in a quad in Markley. He received his contract in the middle of June. Housing at Umich is a mystery!!! Good luck to all who haven’t heard yet. You should know by the end of this month for sure. GO BLUE!!

@jelp - Yes, I mean when you accepted your acceptance. My daughter did the same, waited until later in April to put down the enrollment deposit, and she has yet to hear.

Hopefully they will know soon.

I was accepted in December and sent in my deposit two or three days later. I still haven’t heard where I’m living, so that theory can be thrown out the window.

Sorry to hear that keyman11. So it is still a big mystery.

What is your lottery number?

I think I was around 2500, but I actually heard this morning! South quad.

Lottery number in 2800’s and just got a Bursley double non-smoking today (7/14).

My daughter just got hers today too. 2 room triple in Oxford.

I guess they just released another round. I think her lottery numbers was around 3200.

Nothing here still. Sucks.

2902 and got bursley double today. what up!?

I’m actually hoping for Bursley lol. Just really don’t want Baits or Northwood or anything like that.

Anyone still not know their housing? This is getting annoying. I need to know my move in dat eso I can book a plane ticket out there.

I still don’t.

Personally by this point I would be politely calling the housing people, especially if you have to buy a plane ticket, explain how the flights are all filling up & prices are rising!

They will always let you move in a couple days early. They charge something like $75 per day.
