Does everyone who applied receive a letter from CalTech’s Adcom offering free posters

Our family visited CIT last year (great trip!). What I'm wondering about is whether there is anything an out-of-state 11th grader can do to visit the campus and get more information, other than the standard tour (been there, done that, Ryan did a great job)? It seems the pre-frosh weekend is only for admitted students, right?

"been there, done that, Ryan did a great job"

Oh man, isn't Ryan great? He is one of my best friends at Caltech. For some reason it seemed like my little group of friends made up like half the tour guides. His girlfriend Kayte and our other friend Jenny also give tours.

Personally though, for sheer entertainment value, I would always take the tour with Ryan ;-)

Also, I'd like to register dissatisfaction with the fact that I never got any free Caltech posters!!

So I hear from tour victims I know that they never go through the South Houses, and I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this.

I'm trying to remember. When I visited a year ago, and got the tour, we visited one of the houses. I can't remember it's name, or a whole lot about it. I know that it wasn't Blacker, as I visited it later to say hi to one of my friends. The house we visited had some sort of courtyard with something in it (possibly a trebuchet, but maybe I just associate trebuchets with Caltech). This is really vague, so it's prolly not helpful, but whatever.

The house with the trebuchet in the courtyard is Lloyd.

Tour guides almost always take the students through the house that they are a member of, and we have almost no tour guides from the South Hovses. So unless you plan on becoming a tour guide to show students through your house, don't complain that your house doesn't get shown. If you do want to be a tour guide, message me privately and I'll tell you who to talk to.
