Does Exeter Keep Old Applications

Hello I am a reapplicant applying to Exeter and Andover for 10th grade year. I havent filled out my AIF form yet, as I just decided I wanted to reapply. But After creating a current AIF form for Exeter they sent me a letter thanking me for consider reapplying. On my AIF form there was nowhere where I said where I was a reapplicant. So I was wondering If exeter keeps info on old applicants. And if they still have my old application with all my recs, ec's, and scores. Thank you

My impression is that they keep your complete file from last year.
Many parents here advised to write new essays even if the questions are the same.

Oh no, I thought that they were not allowed to do that. It says that they wont do that right before you send in the AIF form. Anyways, I say “uh oh” because I realized that last year I put the wrong amount of years that I did for one of my extracurriculars. I wrote down 2 years instead of 3 years. Now this year I want to write down 4 years since i have actually been doing that extracurricular for four years, but I don’t want them to think im lying and promoting myself to get in. Any advice on what should i do?

bump please

As long as you are not changing it from 2 years to 8 years, I think it’s fine. ;)

Ok thank you so much. Also, I thought Exeter did not permanently keep old applications, or do they keep them for a year just in case for Reapplicants? When you talk about the whole file from your post above, do you mean the big stuff like recommendations, interviews, and AIF form. Or literally the whole entire file. It seems a little unreal to be able to store all of that

bump please

I don’t have the authority on this matter but I do remember reading that they keep some file. I really don’t know what kind of document management system the schools have and how they store thousands of files. Given most materials are electronically submitted, it should be easy to store and search for the profiles and recommendations. Sorry I can’t be of much help.
