i applied to cornell's college of human ecology as a transfer student. i recently saw an interview with one of the people who work there stating that they've suffered massive endowment losses due to the poor state of the economy. i have a few things i'm worried about, so i'm wondering if my not needing any financial aid will help me out.

does anyone know? i know they're supposed to be need-blind but i've been hearing and reading otherwise.

they are non-need base.. so they dont look at ur financial aid when u apply

Yeah, I made a post about that a while ago about Cornell not being 100% need-blind, I emailed the transfer department and they emailed me back, not that they'd tell me that they WEREN'T need-blind, but they stressed very strongly that it was completely need-blind and how the admissions office and financial aid office are completely separate and no undergraduate student is admitted based on how much he/she can afford to pay and rather on merit only.

ok, thanks everyone for responding. good luck to everyone applying!
