I am transferring to UCD this year and want to join the Accounting Certificate Program in UC Davis extension. Does financial aid pay for UC Davis Extension program? Because I talk to a guy who work in this UCD extension via email and he said UCD extension is not belong to UCD actually, which its very confuse me. So anyone know about this program and how to pay for it?

btw. I am from a low-income family.

I find that confusing too. We have several extensions in our city and they are all part of their home campus for financial aid purposes.

It could be that you are in classes but are not pursuing a degree (community ed, continuing ed, stuff like that). You need to be pursuing a degree or certificate to be eligible for aid.

@mitchklong I dont know! I just email the UCD extension today, and hope they could answer my question. Do you know about the accounting program in UCD extension? Its that good?

Here’s the link. It looks like the programs are not eligible for federal financial aid:

[financing your education - UC Davis Extension](http://extension.ucdavis.edu/student_services/resources/financing.asp)

UC Davis Extension is the continuing and professional education division of UC Davis. It’s absolutely affiliated with UC Davis, and many of the instructors also teach on the main campus. The Accounting Certificate Program instructors are all working professionals with many years of experience in the field.

thank you @2collegewego
@johnno1999 but the representative of the UCD extension just told me they are two individual campus~ I just felt weird when the guy told me UCD extension is no belong to UCD. Do you know this program? I think I am going to transfer to UCD and major in Economics (actually UCD is not my first choice, I want major accounting but only UCSB,UCI and UCR have plenty of accounting classes. sadly, I feel get accepted by UCSB kinda like mission impossible). anyways, if I go to UCD, I still want to find a way to prepare my CPA exam, which much hard in UCD cuz they dont have much undergraduate accounting class.
