<p>I'm wondering if the college listed as first choice receives a copy of the National Merit Scholarship application materials? I'm wondering specifically about the essay. dd is getting ready to apply to the colleges, but uses similar essays, depending on what is asked for. If she knew that they would likely be getting the essay she submitted for NMS, then she would focus on other experiences. If they wouldn't, she would tweak that one. Anyone know?</p>
<p>First choice schools get nothing but a notification that they are the first choice and, I believe, they don’t get that for quite awhile from now.</p>
