Does Florida track level of interest in admissions?

<p>My sons (as I stated before) are looking at Ohio State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, University of Maryland-CP, North Carolina State, University of Miami, University of Florida, University of Delaware, Rutgers, University of Texas A&M, UCSD and a few other smaller privates.</p>

<p>I am trying to see which colleges track level of interest as part of the admission process.</p>

<p>I’ve been told by the AO’s that they do track interest. The examples they gave included attending tours, and participating in in one or more of the outreach programs (Gator for a Day, Student Recruitment Conference, etc). </p>

<p>It’s not given a LOT of weight, but it is one more thing they take into account. I know some schools track how often a potential student logs into the website, but I don’t think this is something UF does. If you’re interested in UF, try to attend at least one tour of the campus (but that advise works for any college).</p>

<p>To a lesser degree. With transfer students, more focus (I would think) is given to college performance (GPA and course requirements) and perhaps EC’s (based on your major). With transfer students, you’re trying to get accepted into your college (and major), while a Freshman is trying to get accepted into the University. </p>
