So I claimed my account but it looks to be all about info on Fordham. I cannot find a link that might tell me which application pieces they have received etc.

There is a “Admitted Undergraduate Students” section right in the middle that says click here for info but I’m not going to assume that I’ve been accepted. That would be a very lame way to find out.

Also, by any chance would you know if Fordham does info sessions around the country. I’d like to hear it again and ask lots of questions. If not is there any way to chat with an admin counselor for questions?

Hey, thanks for this info…I think. So, my D just followed the directions and on the “homepage” she has 2 options…prospective student or admitted students. She clicked on the one that says “admitted” and it brought her to a welcome page. Does this mean she’s admitted or can anyone access this page? The little file folder picture says “admitted” but she hasn’t received an email.

Help…she doesn’t know whether she can shout for joy yet!

I’m in the same boat. If I’m admitted its gotta be one of the lamest ways of finding out.

I emailed them Sunday about this and still have not received a reply. I will call tomorrow and ask if I dont get a reply.

It’s weird. I can access financial aid info and all that too. Not to mention all the info I can see is for freshmen. I’m a transfer so it doesn’t really apply to me. I’m just hoping they didn’t accept me as a transfer. I even went back and made sure I applied as a transfer. So that’s not the issue.

I was told that they have not made any decisions on transfers yet. This makes me wonder why all the info in my Fordham is freshman orientated. That needs to be fixed. Oh and the admitted tab… Yea I guess that’s bogus too.

I emailed them last Thursday but still no answer. Until yesterday there was even a link under financial aid that said “messages” and when she clicked on it, a box came up saying “Loyola Scholarship”, but now she can’t get to that link anymore.

I think I’m going to have to call tomorrow, since they haven’t answered the email in 2-3 days as promised; before this drives her crazy!

Not sure if it applies to transfers, but it seems that for general admission,

"Application status is not available online. However, you may call the Admission Office at 1-800-FORDHAM, and a member of the Admission staff will be able to assist you.

For those freshman applicants who applied by the January 15th deadline, and whose applications were complete, decisions will be sent out by April 1st."

By no means does that mean you’ve been rejected. Its seems to me that Fordham’s ability to communicate through their online portal is quite disappointing.

I am a transfer and all the info I can view on my portal is directed towards freshman. I had to email them asking if I mistakenly applied as a freshman. I know I didnt because my common app was a transfer app. They say they have not given out any transfer decisions so i guess I am still playing the waiting game.

The problem with the online portal is that they are constantly updating it. I recall a student last year saying his FA info that was once up on the portal had disappeared and he had to wait for them to finish updating his records before it went back up online…and he was an EA admit. I wouldn’t expect that they will be responding to emails promptly at this point either given how busy they are right now. You are better off waiting for the hard copy in the mail. It should be any day now!

i have an HEOP interview on friday the 1st. kind of nervous. any one know what kind of questions they’ll be asking? or any bits of info i can use/expect?

From what I have heard here on CC and assuming it’s similar to HEOP interviews at some schools last year, they spoke about personal hardships, family circumstances, work, and school. The interviewer asked about specific grades on the transcript that didn’t necessarily fit in with the rest, senior year schedule, etc. I believe they offered acceptances into the program on the spot at the interview. Good luck! :)

I just wanted to let everyone know that Fordham did not post my acceptance on my.fordham page.

I was emailed my acceptance letter.

Also, my.fordham page has not changed at all since getting my acceptance so I would not be logging in day and night expecting it to change. I know I was and it still looks the same.

I also received my acceptance letter today and I hadn’t even created an online account-didn’t realize there was one. I sent my application in late January and just found out if that helps anyone!

Hey I got almost the same situation as you. I am a transfer too but I have been admitted since Dec 2012. I apply for Fall 2013 term and until now I haven’t received any information such as enrollment and deposit at all. When I ask them, they said the infor for transfer has not came out yet. So I suggested you just need to wait for the decision. And also you may not check your status at MyFordham.edu. you should be able to log in your student portal account, when the decision comes out, there will appear a update in your account. Good luck to you and I hope this will help you.
