I'm considering applying to FSU but my stats aren't anything amazing. GPA: 3.1 ACT: 25. Anyway is it an advantage being out of state or not, I mean is it even worth applying?

FSU accepts a very high percentage of instate students (according to the college board website, it’s 89% instate). Your scores and GPA are rather low for an OOS. But it’s $30. Apply and see what happens.

I would really say the level of importance to applying to FSU really depends on you and how bad you desire to be accepted into FSU, it’s only $30 but that $30 could go to applying to a school that you would more rather go to or think you would have higher chances of getting into. As an out of state applicant your scores and gpa are low but don’t let that discourage you from applying, you can always send in your senior 1st semester grades or retake the ACT. Good luck! :)
