Does Georgetown care if I only submit 2 SAT subject tests?

Hi all!

I was never intending to apply to Georgetown, and hence only took 2 SAT subject tests (Math 2 and Lit — both 800). But a sudden change in circumstances resulted in me strongly considering Georgetown as a school I’d like to apply to for EA. I no longer have time to do a 3rd SAT subject test before the 1 Nov EA deadline, so I was just wondering whether having only 2 SAT subject tests will hurt my application? Is having 3 SAT subject tests MANDATORY or STRONGLY RECOMMENDED?

Please feel free to let me know your opinions on this! And any Georgetown student who sees this thread – will greatly greatly appreciate a response!

Thanks so much everyone

You should definitely take another SAT Subject test (in November or December) in the event that GU defers your application to the regular round.

If you look at past threads on CC you will see that applicants have been accepted to Gtown both in EA and RD with 0-2 SAT subject tests. You are not the first.

Georgetown definitely does not discriminate against EA applicants who have not taken 3 subject tests. They only get suspicious if you apply RD and haven’t taken them. At that point, you are at a disadvantage if you haven’t taken 3; however, I am living proof that one can still get accepted RD without taking/submitting any.
