Does Georgetown have GEs

Iwas wondering if we have to take GE courses and what would they be? Since it's separated into schools, do the GE courses vary for each? And are the classes shared among students from all schools or are the students in your GE classes strictly from your own school (MSB, sfs...etc) ?

You can find all this information on their website… Each school does have different requirements. Some of them are common to all students regardless of school, and some are specific.

The general education requirements vary depending on what school you are in. For example, if you are in the SFS then you are required to take political and social thought. If you’re in the College, then you have a math/science requirement. However, a large portion of the requirements are the same across the schools. For example, all the schools have to take humanities and writing, and theology. So in my Theology class, there are students from across all the schools. Also some classes that are requirements for some majors are not requirements in others. I’m taking a government course as an elective, but it’s a requirement for students in the SFS. So in general you’ll find students from all the schools in your gen ed courses.

Thank you for the lengthy explanation! That’s good to hear, I didn’t want to interact with strictly students from my school (although that is probably going to be the case lol).
