Does getting into UCLA mean less chance of getting into Berkeley?

I heard rumor that UC system can know which uc school you already got in and will not fill you in all the schools, especially accept you both to UCLA and Berkeley. Is it true?

Not true. There are many applicants that get into both.

Almost 200,000 people applied to the UC system this year. They don’t have the energy or benefit, really, to care where else you got into.

People get into both. People get into UCLA and not UCB. People get into UCB and not UCLA. People get into UCLA and UCB and not UCI. Weird things happen.
