Does going from being Class President on SC to being a member on SC look bad?

Hi, right now I am in my junior year of high school. I was elected my years class president and my term ends in 2 months. Elections are coming up and I’m really iffy on running again. I raised a ton of money for my class, and now we are having a prom. I also had to do alot of other stuff for my class (homecoming stuff, setting up prom, making things equal). However, doing all this stuff really caused me alot of stress. Like I broke down with anxiety and stress this year and I hated it. I loved being president when I could help, but when I was stressed it was just horrible. So, now that re-elections are coming up I am iffy on running again. Will going from class president, to say, going to a member of student council look bad (keep in mind class president is on student council to). I just want to have a fun senior year and not stress. I also took some pretty hard classes this year (all honors AP) so that also accounted for some of my stress. So do you think going from class president to a member of student council will look bad? Thanks!

also planning on taking like 3-4 AP’s next year, because most of my friends are in AP’s, alot of people on student council I just dont like/get along with.

I don’t think it will matter too much. I know a couple of people who were president in soph/jr year and decided not to run/lost in senior year. Several of them got into Ivys. Being the president of anything isn’t a major hook for tippy top schools, so I don’t think it will matter much! Your mental health and wellbeing matters so much more than one title  good luck!

No, it is nice to give someone else a chance to be prez.

Yes it will look bad since colleges only want aspiring dictators on their campuses. Win all four years, or bust.

Don’t worry at all. It will not be an issue and won’t need to be explained.
