does going to a jesuit HS help?

also, do you think being catholic helps?

I don't think religion helps, but a Jesuit High School is a big boost for Georgetown. (Chances are, though, if you're going to a Jesuit HS, then you are Catholic anyway.)

What about a non-Jesuit Catholic school? I go to a Marinist school that's why I ask.

Georgetown does nothing to recruit Catholic students and does not favor them in the admission process. Going to a Jesuit school definitely does help (my class at a Jesuit prep school had 22 Georgetown acceptances), however, chances are the Jesuit schools that are big feeders to Georgetown are intensely competitive to begin with.

The favoring of Jesuit schools just really is based upon the fact that they usually have a lot of connections to Georgetown, not the fact that they are per se Catholic and Jesuit institutions solely. So no I don't think being Catholic or going to a Catholic school by itself is much of a help.

Damn. Alright TY.
