Does going to an earlier orientation give you precedence in choosing classes?

Topic. Thanks.

i was concerned about the same topic. one of my friends, who attended the orientation session last week said that he was told he had no advantage in picking classes. they allocate a certain amount of students for each class

I am being told that at least at the CSU’s seats in classes for the incoming freshman are being allotted per orientation session. If only 5 seats of Poli Sci 101 are allotted for orientation session #1, session #2 will have a equal chance of getting 5 seats as will the orientation sessions that follow. Word of advice to all incoming freshman, be flexible with your schedule and make sure you know how far across campus your classes are from point A to point B.

According to the FAQ for orientation
