does google have mechanical engineering internships and co-ops?

i really think that google is a cool company. i am planning on doing a co-op in college so i wanted to know does google have mechanical engineering co-ops and internships?

I’m sure Google could answer that for you.

Listen to Eyemgh! Up and Adam…get over to the Google careers webpage!

Google is predominantly a software company which consistenly hires Computer Science majors. Although they are working on so many underground projects, so they would have a lot of mechanical engineers. I have friends interning at Google X but they are Electrical/ Computer Engineers. Google certainly doesn’t have co-ops and more importantly, you most likely wouldn’t get into their research labs as an undergrad in Mechanical Engineering because like I said Google is predominantly software.

Have you heard about Google driveless car?

I think at my daughter’s school Google listed Computer Science as a major they are interested in. I was surprised to read that. While I know Google is predominantly Software but my ex-bosses and several friends work there and they are hardware. Plus Google purchased Nest which is a hardware company, the CEO got a BS in Computer Engineering from Michigan. So if there’s hardware there must be hiring mechanical engineers.
