Does GPA transfer?

I am currently a pre-nursing major and ready to transfer. In 2007 I had some issues in life and failed 2 classes that have nothing to do with my current major. This has drastically damaged my gpa down to a 2.12, now it is a 2.2 It seems that no matter how hard I work my GPA barely even budges. I am considering retaking these two F's, but they are rarely offered so I am basically wondering if I transfer to a college that is also a nursing school and take a few courses there will my GPA start over or will these F's forever follow me? I know that nursing schools look mainly at the science course which I have a B average in those. Please someone help me!

thanks

No GPAs don’t transfer. But how will you get into nursing school with a 2.2?

I was going to take some courses at the college that also has a nursing program so that I will have a high GPA and then apply to the nursing program. Will this help my chances?

I think you’ll need to retake the Fs. You’ll have to show all college work when you apply.
